An independent school near Yeovil, Somerset found themselves out of contract with their fire alarm company and were recommended to Ocean Fire and Security by a neighbouring school.

The fire alarm panel in this primary school in Dorset was found to be faulty during a recent routine service inspection.

The fault was traced to the main fire alarm control panel whereby if the system went into a fault condition, such as a power failure, the fire alarm panel did not activate any fault conditions.

This could have proved critical if there were faults with any part of the system, as the customer would not have been aware as the panel would not have sounded.

This primary school identified a security risk to the main doors into the school premises and contacted Ocean.

ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

Ocean fitted a Paxton Net2 system to the main doors, a system that is both user friendly and expandable, should the school wish to secure further doors in the future.

Paxton Net2 software was installed, and fobs were programmed to the customers requirements.

The system was demonstrated and a handover to the customer was carried out so they know how to operate the system correctly.
